Aperture Size: A3 (297x420mm) Colour: Black Finish: Open Grain Style: Contemporary Glass: Standard Mount: None

Our Canvas Frame Black has an open grain finish on the wooden base, it is suitable for standard canvas sizes and up to 20mm in depth. The canvas profile is formed as a tray frame where the canvas sits on top of the tray and is secured from behind.
We do not provide fittings as the variation between the back of canvases is too great. We recommend on lighter and smaller frame using sticky back Velcro where the hook and loop mechanism strips are stuck to the frame and canvas lining them up for a strong connection. The conventional way is to mark the frame where it meets a solid area of the canvas, drilling through the frame once the positioning is correct, line the canvas and frame accurately together and screw into the wood at the back of the canvas with wood screws (you may need to do a starter hole by lining up the canvas and frame and with a small drill bit, drill through the previously drilled holes in the frame to the back of the canvas).
Finally add the hanging mechanism of your choice. The profile is contemporary with a flat narrow face measuring 10mm and an L shape, 33mm deep (25mm on the inside) 36mm wide (26mm on the inside).
This frame enhances most imagery and works particularly well with black and white prints and photography and paintings. This frame falls within our price group C so is great value and is also available in white and natural. There is no glass in a canvas, for protection each frame has cardboard corners and is shrink wrapped to keep clean and dust free.
